Lift the veil and see the Messiah within the scroll of Torah through a wealth of ancient and modern Messianic thought.
The name says it all: “Shadows of the Messiah!” The second volume of Torah Club lifts the veil and reveals the person of Messiah within the Torah. Yeshua Himself declares, “Here I am—it is written about me in the volume of the scroll…” (Hebrews 10:5–7). Employing a wealth of ancient Rabbinic and modern Messianic thought on the weekly Torah portions, Volume Two is like walking the Emmaus Road with the Master Himself where “beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:27).
Employing a wealth of ancient Rabbinic and modern Messianic thought on the weekly Torah portions, Volume 2 is like walking the Emmaus Road with the Master Himself where "beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures." (Luke 24:27).
Yeshua provides all of us with a hidden challenge in these verses. He told His students that Moshe and all of the prophets wrote concerning Himself. The challenge is that He inadvertently bids all students of the Scriptures to study them in reference to Himself.
This is the new, completely rewritten second volume of commentaries on the Torah. In the first volume, it was our goal to provide a general overview of the Torah in its entirety. Naturally, we could not comment on every verse, nor even on every chapter, in the Torah. But we did give the student a sufficient introduction to the contents and message of the Torah through an analysis of each parasha. Volume 2 is not a repetition of the Volume 1; rather, it builds on it. In this new completely rewritten volume, our intention is to demonstrate how we can see Messiah in each of the parashot.
If you long for a heart-pounding encounter with the Mashiach (Messiah) of Israel, this is the study program for you. Torah Club Volume Two is an eye-opening, year-long discovery of Messiah in the books of Moses. Shadows of the Messiah is going to show you your Messiah in ways you never expected. Club members will chase the shadow of Yeshua through Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy according to the weekly Bible portions read in synagogues all over the world each Shabbat.
Let us take up the challenge. Let us look at each parasha in the Torah in order to see what it reveals to us concerning the person and work of the Messiah. When we are finished, our hope is that we would be able to confirm for ourselves what is recorded about those two talmidim in Luke 24:31-32:
"And their eyes were opened and they recognized Him...And they said to one another, 'Were not our hearts burning within us... while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?'"
