And they shall say before Him, "King of the Universe! To whom shall we go? To Abraham...? He did not entreat you for mercy upon us. To Isaac...? He did not entreat you for mercy upon us. To Jacob...? He did not entreat you for mercy upon us. To whom then shall we go now? Rather let the LORD state our case!" The Holy One, shall answer them, "Since ye have made yourselves dependent upon Me, 'though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.'" Commentary:

The high priest's garments required a remarkable embroidery, stitch work, weaving, and detailed handwork which were done by skilled artisans and women. Along with the skillful handwork, was the dying and combination of the magnificent colors: gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and white. These five colors are repeated several times throughout this section. Moreover, they are the same colors used to make the Tabernacle.
