It seems that the sages who chose this Haftarah to correspond to the parasha could not have chosen a more appropriate one. In parashat Behar, God was discussing what would happen to Israel if they kept the covenant that He made with them and the consequences of covenant unfaithfulness.

Parashat Behar is the economic charter of the people and land of Israel. God ordains laws that declare his care for the Land of promise, and for its people—both rich and poor. Within this passage of Torah, a fifty-year cycle—the Jubilee—is established. This institution was intended to guarantee the productivity of the land, and the welfare of its inhabitants.
