Betrothed Forever
In Jewish observance, the Hosea 2:19-20 passage is recited daily during the ritual of strapping on the bands of Âteffillin, around one's hand, thereby fulfilling the verse that states, "you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand." It is a daily ritual reminder that Israel is married to God. We are a people spoken for, a people betrothed in righteousness, justice, lovingkindness, compassion and faithfulness.
