Re-Thinking the Jewish Apostle to the Gentiles
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. Romans 1:16
For most of the past two thousand years, there hasn’t been much debate about where to locate Paul in relation to Judaism, among either Christians or Jews. Both groups have held the same general opinion about Paul when it comes to Judaism—namely, that Paul was a renegade Jew who left Judaism and started Christianity in light of his conviction that Jesus was the Messiah. In this seminar, First Fruits of Zion’s Director of Outreach, Ryan Lambert, offers a radical alternative to the prevailing views of Paul, and makes the case that Paul is best understood inside of Judaism, and not outside of or against it.
