John records a very sad moment of the Master’s life—a time when many of His followers questioned His identity, doubted His claims and found His words preposterous. Their uncertainty ultimately caused His disciples to turn away from Him. As they left, Yeshua asked Peter and the remaining disciples, “You do not want to leave me too, do you?” (John 6:67)
The Master’s question echoes today. The Messianic movement is precariously perched between two ancient and well-established religions, forcing us to struggle for identity and truth. Sadly, this battle is not without casualties—we have seen brothers and sisters walk away from the One who, as Peter said, “Holds the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68)
We have ventured into new territories of the faith and now face questions that we had never considered and are not prepared to answer. Intelligent questions posed by opponents of the Gospel can shake our faith and cause us to question the Messiahship of Yeshua.
Messianic believers are often nagged by thoughts like, “If I was taught errors about the Torah, then I also may have been taught errors about other things, such as the divine nature of Messiah.” When we face questions like this—in our own spiritual lives and in our faith communities—are we truly prepared to answer them? This issue is compounded by erroneous information that is readily available on the Internet and that makes its way into our small and vulnerable communities. We must be prepared to fight back—it is a matter of great importance.
“To Whom Shall We Go” exposes some of the strongest arguments against faith in Yeshua. We will explore these issues in a safe environment that will encourage and strengthen your convictions. You will leave this seminar educated and equipped.
This serious, intensive seminar is intended for those who are already acquainted with the Messianic faith and are looking to grow in their maturity. Please set aside the time, and plan on coming and leaving prepared.
