Plum Tuckered Out!

Our family just arrived here in Missouri on Sunday afternoon after being away since mid-May. We presented the "Commandment to Bless" in Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa prior to the conference in Hudson and then continued on tour through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio. And, now that I'm officially home here in the Ozarks, I can confidently say that our family is "plum tuckered out!" While our family was...

The Commandment to Bless

The Commandment to Bless seminar represents the "first fruits" of First Fruits of Zion's new prayer resources. To introduce this new resource, on the mitzvah of blessing God before and after one has eaten, a string of seminars are currently scheduled (a few additional locations will be announced in the next couple of weeks). The impact of this simple mitzvah--one will see--is far reaching. Each command in Scripture serves a...

FFOZ Road Trip—Dallas!

We would like to extend a welcome to you on behalf of Congregation Eitz Chaim—a favorite stop for all of us here at FFOZ. We really love this community. We will be in Dallas June 30th – July 1st and would like to encourage you to attend a truncated version of the First Fruits of Zion conference, “To Whom Shall We Go?” It is our prayer that our time together...

A Fresh Breeze in the Windy City

When Boaz showed up at our house wearing a SPAM t-shirt, I knew we were in for an interesting evening. Wait--let me back up. In 2000 my husband (Brian) and I embraced the message of Torah. But sharing what we learned was difficult. In fact, most of our church friends thought we were “off the rails” (as one man suggested) for thinking that Christian obedience included the whole of God’s...

Shalom Midwest!

We’ve been enjoying the warm weather of the South hoping to wait it out while the snow and ice of the northern states melts off. Thankfully, it looks as though winter is coming to an end. Thus, we are planning to embark upon the northern Midwestern states to continue the Shalom Tour. After a brief trip to Israel for the new HaYesod program, we will be returning in the beginning...

Shalom Tour Part II

My time spent on the road has been more encouraging than I could have ever imagined. We’ve been from coast to coast meeting with leaders and congregations and building better relationships with the greater Messianic Movement. But we’re far from done. Phase two of the Shalom Tour is under way. We’ve been working hard scheduling new events and seminars for phase two. The requests for speaking have been pouring in...

The Servant's Song

For a short time, the Shalom Tour is being put on hold so that I can address other projects that are currently underway at FFOZ. The last week was spent in freezing cold Colorado, meeting with staff (as opposed to nice, sunny Florida). Among the issues tackled at our meetings was the newly hired staff for FFOZ. We have added two new staff members to the FFOZ family. I spent...

Brand Loyalty

Brand loyalty can get you in trouble. When your bias for a particular brand inhibits you from looking at other options “they” have got you. “They” are the hidden marketing gurus hired by companies to create a subliminal sense of loyalty which gets us trapped into buying only their product. I was recently reminded of this phenomenon. For several years I have run in a particular brand of shoe. Five...

Utensil of Blessing: Peace

We are living in exciting times. Believers, both Jewish and non-Jewish, from all denominations and backgrounds are beginning to see the beauty and relevance of the Torah. We are seeing a restoration that has not been seen since the days of the apostles. And yet, when individuals either join or create fellowships, we realize that not everyone sees eye to eye. Our excitement is sometimes stifled by arguments over doctrine...
