Bible Design Blog reviews the DHE

The Delitzsch Hebrew/English GospelsIt has been almost a year since we first shipped the Delitzsch Hebrew/English Gospels. This project was such a labor of love. Our small team of translators, editors, reviewers, designers, and managers pored over minute details for what seemed like an eternity.

Our primary goal was to bring honor to the Messiah Yeshua. We felt so humbled and awed by the task of presenting his words to the world. We felt that it was our duty to present this volume in a format that reflects the beauty, glory, and holiness contained in his teachings.

Furthermore, we were inspired by Jewish publishers who present the words of the Torah and the classic commentaries of the Sages in a majestic and attractive way. We knew we could do the same, and that our book would not just be a book; it would truly be a sefer.

To accomplish this, we researched to find out what are the best and most important features of Bible design. One helpful source of information was author J. Mark Bertrand, who posts reviews of published Bibles on his Bible Design Blog.

It seems like our work paid off. Today, Bertrand posted a very positive review of the DHE:

To be honest, if every publisher followed Vine of David's example, I'd be out of a job. (Out of a blog, anyway.) They've approached this project as if every detail mattered. I admire that level of commitment. For that reason alone -- though there are plenty of others --I would encourage you to check out the Delitzsch Hebrew Gospels.

Bertrand comments on the design, translation, and reference material and summarizes his review in a video. Read his complete, detailed review at the Bible Design Blog.

About the Author: Aaron Eby is a staff writer for First Fruits of Zion and Vine of David. He is the chief translator of the Delitzsch Hebrew/English Gospels and the author of Biblically Kosher and Getting Started in Hebrew, as well as several other articles and resources.

The DHE is superb! It gives honor to the Holy Scriptures and our Messiah. I so look forward to the coming Siddur and other VOD publications.

The DHE treats God's Word with the respect and love it should be treated with.

Yeah! Mazel tov! I knew it would be a good review. Now, we just need to make sure others realize how wonderful it is! Congrats!
