We Thank You v.2
Vine of David is proud to announce the release of We Thank You: Blessing of Thanks Before and After Meals. Originally published in 2008 under First Fruits of Zion, this resource has now transitioned into a Vine of David resource. Minor editorial adjustments throughout have sharpened this work in making it a timeless resource for you to use for your pre- and post-meal blessings.
Corrections & Changes
- Enhanced: Prayers start on new pages making the resource more open and user friendly--rather than prayers running in continuum that may cause confusion to the unfamiliar petitioner.
- Added: Table of Contents.
- Added: A missing section from the Didache pre-wine blessing.
- Added: Additional comments in the introduction on the Didache blessings.
- Added: A traditional Psalm before Netilat Yadyim to be read in place of, or along with, the traditional blessing concerning the washing of hands.
- Changed: Reverted the second blessing back to the tradition by removing our inserted line, "And for the covenant that you made with our Father Abraham." We moved this phrase to the commentary section as a suggested alternative blessing to those that desire to use "And for the covenant that you made with our Father Abraham" rather than the traditional "For the Covenant that you sealed in our flesh."
- Changed: Cover color and made some slight design changes
The cover stock is wonderful. It is a special paper called, Suedetex. Suedetex is durable, stain resistant, and supple. The color can be best described as a deep merlot. The inside paper is a high quality cream-colored stock. With the above mentioned enhancements and adjustments, this work is now set.
It is a beautiful testimony for the Messiah, and will adorn any table with beauty. We hope it will bring a sense of delight to all that use it to connect with God, to align with Israel, and to bring holy and ancient prayers to your table.
The melody training CD has been adjusted to reflect the changes. A standard edition will be made available at a later date.
Cost of the deluxe edition is $8.00 each with a 40% discount available for orders of 5 or more. The CD set that trains in the Hebrew and English melodies is $24.00.
