Mishlei Musings
The Protection of the Righteous
Tags: Mishlei Musings, protection, proverbs, righteousness
In the last episode we spoke about the blessings of Torah that come upon the righteous. We saw that many of these blessings were not always material in nature or something that you can buy; rather they were things that are worth much more than that like wisdom, gladness and a long life. Sometimes these blessings don't arrive in the way we think they should, but His wisdom is greater than ours. The Father is faithful to take care of and provide for His children. Perhaps one of the greatest blessings from a righteous lifestyle is that of His protection.

The Father is faithful. And His promises are always sure, that is very true. But it needs to be said that Job was a rigtheous man, and look what he endured anyway, as a righteous man. Yes, his fortunes, blessings, and a family were restrored to him. But his friends failed greatly in that they could not see that future while Job's protection was removed for a time. And it is just as true that Yeshua told us all we would be persecuted. He even gave us some details to expect. And all who really do hear His voice experience it one way or another. I think it is a bit misleading for any of us to expect otherwise. The truth is, the Father protected me and my children while we were abused for rigtheousness sake. And He protected us while we were being disciplined for our stupidity/sins too. Knowing which was which was (more often than not) something that is between the abused and God alone. Life taught me to regularly pray "Oh God do not ever again let me become like a 'Job's friend' to anyone
