The Fruit of Humility

"The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate." - Proverbs 8:13
Pride is one of the biggest hurdles we must overcome in learning to love our neighbor as ourselves. It can also prevent us from heeding the advice of others because we think we know best. let's examine what the writer of Provers tells his child about the important character trait of humility verses its opposite: pride.

How timely a message for this age of me.I;d rather be a doorkeeper in the synagoge than dwell in tents of the wicked.Psalm 84:12

I was waiting for the "he who is great among you become your servant, and he who is greatest among you become your slave." Isn't bitul not just the setting aside of self, but the nullification thereof. Absolving self. Halachically like 1 in 60 parts. :) Like there, but not tam. (taste)
Here's a question, how then are we to be, "the salt of the earth"? Unless the taste we're leaving in people's mouth is the saltiness of godliness. That through us they might "taste and see, that the LORD he is good."
Bitul, still a litul salty. :)
