You can trust your Abba

Emunah is often translated "faith" or "faithfulness." It is walking in simple and pure trust.
I have young children, so I often find myself boiling down lofty concepts into the simplest terms. I tell my children that emunah is "knowing that HaShem is very good and very big." They understand that what makes a person do bad things is a failure to understand one of those two characteristics of God.
My grandfather took this picture of my four-year-old daughter and I a few days ago when we were visiting with relatives. They didn't have a slide on their playset, and the swing was in use, so she just kept climbing up the ladder and then leaping into my arms. My grandfather sent me the picture, and I turned it into a rip-off of those cheesy and often parodied motivational posters.

Not cheesy at all! Adorable! If I could figure out how to use this computer, I would print it!

This is a truly beautiful photo brother. Thank you for sharing. The concepts you mentioned above that you share with your children are beautiful also. Continue to carry our Abba and Yeshua's vessel well brother. Take Care. I hope and pray shalom to you and yours.

Thank you for sharing this. I have been pondering lately at how our heavenly Father gives us rules (Torah) not unlike our earthly fathers require certain things of their children. It isn't for the law itself. It is from love for His children. It is for our good. We must trust and obey - just understand that our Father God is all good and wanting only the best for us.

My vote is for Not cheesy. In fact, as I looked at the photo, Abba used it to minister to a very deep part of me. When I was a child, my earthly parents were not able to be there for me in all the ways and to the degree I needed them to be. As I looked at the photo, and saw the total trust and joyous abandonment your little girl threw herself into your arms with, I recognized that I have tended to hold back from my heavenly Abba, as if He were like my earthly parents whom I did not fully trust; I see how I have not fully trusted my life and welfare to our Father, and how this has affected every facet of my life, and worst of all, how it has fed an independent spirit.
Thank you for posting your "cheesy" photo. I've saved it on my computer and plan to print it out.
P.S. MJ: To save it, try right-clicking on the photo and then click "Save As". You can then save it anywhere you want on your computer.
