"Say what?"
"What was that?"
"Can you please give that to me in English?"
Such are the thoughts of many newer (and perhaps many not so newer) visitors to a Messianic conference. I know because I have thought (and sometimes, still think) these same things. It seems like whenever Messianic believers get together, the Hebrew terms start going at an extraordinary rate. After all, Hebrew is the lashon kodesh (oops, there I go again, that means "holy tongue"). But for most English speakers, new Hebrew phrases can become a big frustration really quick.
Therefore, we have provided this quick handy blog post for common terms the teachers of First Fruits of Zion will be using in their sessions at the Shavuot 2008 National Gathering. The following definitions are just portion of the over 1,000 definitions available for free on our online Torah Club Dictionary. This is great! I'm going to link to this from my blog. Over the past 10 years, these words and others have just become part of my vocabulary and I forget sometimes to be sensitive to others that don't speak the "lingo" yet. Thanks for yet another amazing resource!
