Step Into My Office……..

This blog was written by Michael Cundiff, First Fruits of Zion's Director of Administration.

On Sunday I read Boaz’s Blog Post on Facing West in Prayer. It reminded me of several things, mainly the importance of prayer no matter where you are. Prayer has become a much more important aspect of my life over the past two years. It all started at the First Fruits of Zion Seminar called Wooden Podium in Phoenix a couple of years back. As I watched several men gathered in morning prayers, I was challenged in my spirit to begin an adventure in prayer. The road has been very rewarding.

I would like to add some thoughts and prayer requests to Boaz’s blog. Step into my office as I give you a behind-the-scenes look at all the prayer needs we have over the next 30 days. I have been watching Boaz, Joel, Toby, Jeremiah, David, and—from a distance—Daniel. It has been a constant whirlwind of activity as these men make preparations to leave for filming in Israel on February 17th. Details..details..details…

The shipping and packing tables are full of camera equipment. Well over 70 pieces that need to be organized, tested, labeled, and packed. There are scripts and teachings that have to be well thought out and planned. The conference calls are daily as they check and recheck items and make plans. There were many days last week that the to-do lists grew at an alarming rate. There is much excitement in the air, and much that needs to be covered in prayer.

I would ask you to join me in the next 30 days and cover these men with your personal prayers. My wife, Rebecca, and I have started a prayer list to use each day as we travel to work down I-44. We use this daily time for devotions and prayer as we leave Springfield and head for Marshfield to work.

Here are the items we plan to pray for daily, sometimes covering all items and some days only a few:

1. All the last-minute details in preparation for leaving on Feb 17th
2. Clear minds and thoughts as details are spinning around each man’s head
3. Safety in travels and all the important flight connections
4. Much needed rest as the days ahead will be long
5. Good health and good food while in Israel
6. Protection for each man’s wife and children at home during this long period
7. All equipment will arrive safely
8. All equipment will work well with no break downs in Israel
9. Transportation and housing needs in the land
10. Joy and excitement as the days wear on
11. New revelations into the Torah
12. Many prayer warriors will come forth to help Build the Kingdom

And one of the most important requests from my perspective is that each man will be given an extra measure of strength and vision for what this new HaYesod Program will mean for the thousands that will see and hear the message. The message that has so long been on the hearts of each worker at First Fruits of Zion. That message is clearly represented by two themes: Proclaiming the Torah and its way of life, fully centered on the Messiah, to today’s people of God, and at the same time, strengthening our relationship to the People, the Land, and the Scriptures of Israel. I pray for the Word to take on new and fresh meaning as they traverse the land of Israel. May the Father bless them with new and fresh insights into His word that they have not even seen in the past.

I would encourage each of you to add to the list for prayer. I know that many of you have great insight into what is needed for this kind of trip to be successful. Please add your thoughts…

Oh one more thing. Last week as the tension mounted and the tasks become very over whelming, Boaz sent out a staff e-mail that said “unless something is an extreme emergency, please don’t interrupt Toby or I. We are on a mission.” I fully respect that decision and have kept people at bay from their offices. But just in case I do not see your face this week, Boaz, I do have one major emergency about to happen on Thursday of this week: Rebecca and I must travel to Norman Oklahoma to see our 9th Grandchild arrive into this world! See you on the return flight.

Shalom!

I am new to this site. I have ordered several books and will be joining the Torah Club soon. My husband and I are very excited about this site and will continue to pray for the team going to Isreal and also for the birth of your grandchild.

I have committed to prayer for the preparation and trip, and am eagerly awaiting the result--teaching tools!

Thank you for the list of specific requests!

May you all walk in His strength...

I just read the writings of Clement of Rome, in which he admonished "Let us preserve in the Church the order appointed by God." Forgive me if you are already familiar with this.

Following are Chapters XL and XLI of Clement's First Epistle Lto the Corinthians. I read these at ccel.org.

Chapter XL
These things therefore being manifest to us, and since we look into the depths of the divine knowledge, it behoves us to do all things in [their proper] order, which the Lord has commanded us to perform at stated times. Some join κατά καιροὺς τεταγμένους, “at stated times.” to the next sentence. [1 Cor. xvi. 1, 2.] He has enjoined offerings [to be presented] and service to be performed [to Him], and that not thoughtlessly or irregularly, but at the appointed times and hours. He has enjoined offerings [to be presented] and service to be performed [to Him], and that not thoughtlessly or irregularly, but at the appointed times and hours. Where and by whom He desires these things to be done, He Himself has fixed by His own supreme will, in order that all things being piously done according to His good pleasure, may be acceptable unto Him. Literally, “to His will.” [Comp. Rom. xv. 15, 16, Greek.] Those, therefore, who present their offerings at the appointed times, are accepted and blessed; for inasmuch as they follow the laws of the Lord, they sin not. For his own peculiar services are assigned to the high priest, and their own proper place is prescribed to the priests, and their own special ministrations devolve on the Levites. The layman is bound by the laws that pertain to laymen.

Chapter XLI
Let every one of you, brethren, give thanks to God in his own order, living in all good conscience, with becoming gravity, and not going beyond the rule of the ministry prescribed to him. Not in every place, brethren, are the daily sacrifices offered, or the peace-offerings, or the sin-offerings and the trespass-offerings, but in Jerusalem only. And even there they are not offered in any place, but only at the altar before the temple, that which is offered being first carefully examined by the high priest and the ministers already mentioned. Those, therefore, who do anything beyond that which is agreeable to His will, are punished with death. Ye see, Or, “consider.” [This chapter has been cited to prove the earlier date for this Epistle. But the reference to Jerusalem may be an ideal present.] brethren, that the greater the knowledge that has been vouchsafed to us, the greater also is the danger to which we are exposed.
