By Toby Janicki  | Comments (1) | Posted on October 24, 2007

Yesterday I posted some links about the recent archeological activity on the Temple mount. You can read that (Here)

I found two more links about this story today. The first is a request for a probe into the permissions for the dig (here). The second is more details on the archeological finds (here).

The digs were done by Muslims with tractors. Hardly an archaeological dig. The Israeli Antiquities authority was working under the thumb of Ehud Olmert and neither were giving satisfactory answers as to why this was allowed. I wrote Ehud Olmert myself and got a form e-mail letter back about how the Israeli Antiquities authority was monitoring all digging,etc..but at any other site that is considered an archaeological site, is the digging ever done by people who don't believe anything valuable exists there and with bulldozers?

Only after the uproar did the Israeli Antiquites group come out with this information about what they found. And yes, it is very interesting..but this who thing was very very shady and not right. Many got pictures of what happened and witnessed it first hand. I've heard their testimonies and believe them.

Anyway, thanks for blogging on the subject.
