A Spark that Lights a Fire
During the summer months, my family and I had the opportunity to travel and to conduct seminars in various locations across the United States. These mini-conferences are a big part of the ministry of FFOZ. Over and over again we find that the best way to reach people with the message of Gospel and Yeshua's call to Torah is to meet them in their own backyard, so to speak. Although we host a large national conference every few years, it is these small, local seminars where we really have time to fellowship and make new friends.
In the past year, we have brought Tim Hegg's What's So New about the New Covenant, D. Thomas Lancaster's Y3K, Yeshua, Yeshua, Yeshua and my own Biblical Benchmark teachings to congregations and cities all over America. The results have been fantastic. Everywhere we go, we meet Torah-keeping believers. The movement is definitely growing and people's hearts and minds are open to the wonderful things of God's Word. Our presence has been a welcome confirmation of truths that these precious brothers and sisters have already discovered by Abba's leading. But sometimes our meetings are a spark that lights a fire.
Recently, I received a phone call from an attendant of one of this summer's local seminars. Unknown to me, an Assemblies of God pastor had attended that meeting. On the Shabbat following the meeting, he had announced to his congregation that they were going to begin to transition toward keeping the biblical Sabbath and God's Appointed times. Several people left his congregation immediately, but by God's grace, a seed has been planted and a new Torah-based congregation of believers in Yeshua has been birthed.
I could tell several stories like this about our "on the road" encounters. There is nothing more exhilarating than seeing the Spirit of God working in the lives of believers, leading them to truth and preparing them for Messiah. We are already planning to visit many more locations next summer. But, don't be discouraged if you can't join us. Most FFOZ seminars are available on DVD. Through this media tool, you will be able to join right in for these dynamic teaching seminars.
At this time, I also want to thank the Lord for His provision in meeting our needs to send these seminars out. A volunteer did an absolutely fabulous job on producing the "What's So New" seminar which saved the ministry thousands of dollars. We would not have been able to afford the professionally produced product without this volunteer's generous donation of time and talent. May the Lord bless him!
And, Lord willing, in the near future, our newest seminar will be coming out on DVD. It is an exciting follow up to our book, Hanukkah, Light in the Darkness which was released last year. Watch for this forthcoming seminar titled The Last Days—Hanukkah and the Rise of the Anti-Christ, it is the most forthright call to studying and living Torah that we have released to date.
Friends of FFOZ, be encouraged by the excitement of our road trips and continue to support this ministry. Please, remember us in your prayers always. We are going places no one else is going and bringing a message no one else is bringing: the message of Yeshua and His call to Torah. It is a great and awesome task that the Father has placed in our hands, and we truly work together with you to accomplish it.
